Day 8 - (Qumran & Masada National parks)
Qumran
Qumran is known for the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. The Dead Sea Scrolls are some of the oldest manuscripts of the books of the Bible.
The Isaiah Scroll dates back to about 200 BC. Although damaged, it is almost complete and contains all 66 chapters of the book of Isaiah.

Masada National Park
Masada is not mentioned in the Bible, but it existed during Bible times. It was a fort built by Herod the Great.
It was also the last stronghold of the Jewish resistance in the revolt against Rome.
