Reconciliation
Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
This verse tells us the way to be reconciled to God. We have a need to be restored to God because our sins separate us from him. We need to recognize and understand the essential fact that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6). The words, "I am", are emphasized in the Greek text and refer us to what God said to Moses in Exodus 3:14- "I am who I am", thereby equating Jesus with God.
The affirmation of the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the dead are the foundation of a saving faith.
