Our 2024 Mission Project

Posted by Missions Committee on

Global Christianity Weekend -  October 19-20  2024

Project goal:

Our aim is to raise at least $10,000. Last year, with the grace of God, we exceeded our expectations and received $15,714 in support. Let's work together to make this year even more successful.

This year’s project:

The project is called Rapha which means “Heal” in Hebrew.  The leader of the project is Jenna Smith from Christian Direction. Both Jenna Smith and Christian Direction  are committed to developing comprehensive biblical resources, alongside theological and practical training, to empower Christians and Christian communities throughout Quebec. Their initiative will provide ongoing pastoral support and intervention strategies, equipping individuals and congregations to better understand the complexities of domestic violence. By fostering awareness and education, the aim is to create a supportive environment where the body of Christ can effectively prevent and respond to domestic violence, offering hope and healing to those affected.

Update:

We praise God for another successful GCW! Once again, we surpassed our goal. We thank everyone who has contributed in raising funds for the Rapha project that will create comprehensive biblical resources and provide theological and practical training to empower Christians in Quebec.

This initiative will include a toolkit for 25 churches, available in French and English, along with ongoing pastoral support and
intervention strategies to help congregations address domestic violence effectively.

Anyone who wishes to donate can do via etranfer at
or by cash and cheque in our donation
boxes. Please remember to specify it is for GCW.
