October 2024 Prayer Requests
Julio Garcia:
- Please pray for our local church. Right now, we only have a pastor, but no elders. The pastor is not being paid because the church has more needs than it can afford. We’ve been trying to help in whatever way we can, but the main issue is the lack of leadership in the church.
- Please pray for my role in Cru. I’m now part of the Global Technology team, and there is a lot of work to do. I’m primarily serving other missionaries in Latin America and Africa, which means I have to deal with many language barriers.
Anastasia Isch:
- Please keep praying for the Dorcas family ministry, as it grows it presents more challenges, but it also becomes more efficient because it addresses not only the widows' material needs and of their children but other areas of their lives.
- Pray for the Dorcas leaders, in Niger in Benin and in Burkina Faso that the Lord may guide them as they deal with the everyday challenges that the widows face in each country; and for the missionaries involved in this ministry, Amy and Lucia.
- Thank you too for your prayers for the Greek ladies’ conference, October 10th to 13th, Lucia and I will be speaking.
After spending a few days in Athens, I will be travelling back to Montreal October 30, thank you for your prayers.
Tony Schaapman:
Pray for the war to end.
●Please pray that the Lord would provide a ministry partner and other workers to
distribute gospels to the some 200 thousand people in Olsztyn, Olsztynek, and Sztzytno
combined..
●Pray for a good working relation with the Baptist church here in Olsztyn. The pastor will
present my proposal to the ministry team next week.
●Praise God for the progress in the Polish language. Please pray for greater fluency. This
region has few foreigners, and most Polish people do not speak English making Polish
imperative.
●Pray for the churches to get involved and catch a vision to reach the lost.
●Pray for the lost to have a hunger for God.
●Pray for the Lord to bless His word, that it not return void, but that it would accomplish
the Lord's desire for people to come to salvation.
Missions Committee / GCW:
- Pray for the GCW weekend coming up and our new project.
- Pray for Rapha Quebec
- Pray for victims of domestic violence
- Pray for the abusers as well.
