Bread of Life
John 6:35 - I am the bread of life.
When Jesus said these words he was saying that He is the source of eternal life to all who receive Him into their life as Lord and Saviour. He also said, "I am come that they might have life and that more abundantly." John 10:10. Paul writes that we receive grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. These words make quite a power-package.
Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am." John 8:58. Thus claiming to be the Creator God in human flesh. Our Lord is not only human but He is God at the same time.
No wonder Charles Wesley wrote:
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see.
Hail the incarnate Deity.
Pleased as man with man to dwell,
Jesus our Immanuel!
