Be strong!
Finally, my brothers be strong in The Lord and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10
This verse begins the final section of Paul's letter to the Christians in Ephesus. It deals with the spiritual struggle believers in Christ face. Our adversaries are not mere 'flesh and blood' but spiritual powers controlled by the devil himself. These powers can influence people to great evil as we have seen this week in our own country. They were not forced, but influenced.
If we had to live the Christian life on our own strength we would utterly fail. We are commanded instead 'to be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might'. As we trust in Him we can face the struggles of life that come our way.
