Bible-based Trauma Healing
Every Thursday, from 04/03/2025 to 05/22/2025, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
We are starting another online Bible-based healing group.
We invite you to join our small group (maximum of 12 people) to bring healing to wounds of the heart—emotions, spirit, soul — from trauma or loss. If you suffer from sadness, exhaustion, anger, feelings of isolation, or unprocessed grief, whatever the source, this small group may be for you. If you have healed from pain in the past and wish to help others dealing with these kinds of pain, the group may be for you as well.
The group is led by Sarah Dhanaraj, a member of Westview Bible Church, and Diane Sollazzo, a member here at Peoples Church.
Together, we will make a safe space for group members to:
- Discover what the Bible says about suffering
- Learn about trauma and its effects
- Build resilience for the future
- Learn to help others
This group will also include a unit on helping children.
About the group model
This healing group uses the proven and time-tested model of the Trauma Healing Institute at American Bible Society. Using applied Scripture and best mental health principles.
We are not professional healers, not doctors, psychiatrists or psychologists. We are Christians who care. We do not offer therapy, but we do offer support.
The group uses the book Caring for the Wounded Heart. It is in use in over 100 countries with more than 194 language groups in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Americas. Purchase of the book is not required for participation. If you wish to purchase it, you can purchase a paperback version from Amazon (paperback) or the Canadian Bible Society in digital format (cheaper) or paperback.
This program is run in conjunction with Trauma Healing Institute of the American and Canadian Bible Societies.
We will be running a seven session group meeting on Thursdays:
- Starts at 7 PM
- Starts April 3rd and runs until May 22 (With a one week break in May, no session on May 15 )
- Hosted by Peoples Church
- Registration deadline: March 30.
